The Agricultural Systems Institute (ASI) conducted a virtual career orientation on April 28 with over 100 attendees.

The orientation program is designed to give an overview and introduce the major programs offered by the unit namely; Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Systems, Landscape Agroforestry and Soil Science. It also aimed to provide opportunity for BSA students to have in-depth appreciation of the major programs through the sharing of accomplishments and experiences of invited alumni guests.

Serving as resource speakers were Mr. Raem Dominic S.  Brion (Agricultural Extension), Mr. Jim Leandro P. Cano (Agricultural Systems), Mr. Elson Ian Nyl E. Galang (Landscape Agroforestry) and Ms. Deborah N. Tangunan (Soil Science) who were all alumni of the institution.  All of them have shared their accomplishments, experiences and piece of advice in finding the right path in reaching their goals and serving back to the nation.

The event concluded with ASI Deputy Director Sherry B. Marasigan’s closing remarks. She expressed her gratitude to all the speakers and recognized their contribution to the society. She also recognized the effort of the Instruction Committee and the unit’s Webinar team for the success of the event.  Lastly, she encouraged the students to be part of the organization reiterating the unit’s event tagline “TARA na K-ASI” and thanked them for participating in the event.
