Faculty members and Research, Extension, and Professional Staff (REPS) from the Agricultural Systems Institute (ASI) actively participated in the recently concluded ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ ๐—”๐—ป๐—ป๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ (๐—”๐—ฆ๐—–) and ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—š๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐—”๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—น๐˜† of the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) on March 13, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

The ASI delegation was represented by Dr. Victorino Bato (Associate Professor), Ms. Roselle Madayag (Assistant Professor), Ms. Marianne De Luna (University Researcher), Dr. Sherry Marasigan (Associate Professor), and Dr. Leila Landicho (Career Scientist). They were joined by other faculty members and researchers from the UPLB College of Agriculture and Food Science, including Associate Dean for Research and Extension Dr. Katherine Ann Israel.

ASIโ€™s participation aligns with its mission of promoting a โ€œ๐˜š๐˜บ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ด ๐˜ˆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฉ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜š๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ˆ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ,โ€ which advocates for holistic and interdisciplinary strategies to improve agricultural productivity while ensuring environmental sustainability and social inclusivity.

The conference provided ASI faculty and researchers with opportunities to engage in knowledge exchange, strengthen research collaborations, and contribute to shaping policies for sustainable agricultural and rural development in the country.
