ASI ANALYTICAL

SERVICES

PROGRAM

Provision and Quality
Management of Analytical
Services and Soil Test Kit

The ASI Analytical Services Program delivers expertise in providing analytical services and capacity building activities through the Analytical Services Laboratory (ASL) and Soil Test Kit (STK) projects. In line with its service, the program conducts technical assistance and training on good laboratory practices, soil sampling, and practical soil analysis.

OBJECTIVES

The program aims to provide routine and specialized analyses for soil physico-chemical properties and nutrient analysis of fertilizer and water samples through the Analytical Services Laboratory (ASL). The STK Project aims to develop and improve the soil test parameters to address other soil health concerns such as salinity, acidity, and nutrient deficiencies. The program also aims to enhance the technical competencies of laboratory staff and clients through trainings on laboratory and field procedures, and fertilizer recommendation.

Division of Soil Science

The Division of Soil Science (DSS) addresses the many important roles of soil through teaching, research and extension programs. It aims to expand, integrate, and extend the knowledge of soil ecosystems in food, feed, and fiber production and the creation of a living landscape at different agroecosystems for the enhancement of environmental quality.
